About
I am a licensed architect with nearly 20 years of experience. I began my career making coffee and copies in Boston, where I first learned about living in a city and the architecture profession. My education was in business, so I returned to school to complete my architecture degree. Once completed, I volunteered my time and built houses with inner city youth, an experience that turned out to be one of the highlights of my career.
Intrigued by its design work, I let the GSA Design Excellence program inform my next move, taking me to Washington, DC. My emerging professional years were spent here, where I had the opportunity to design and manage several projects of various types and scales. Once I became licensed, I confidently went on my own to explore my interests and other aspects of the profession.
Throughout my life I have been drawn to the built environment and a thirst to understand what makes it work. This is what has driven me not only to the architecture profession, but the various cities in which I have designed (Boston, DC, Memphis, NYC, and Austin). My professional portfolio is diverse with public, academic, office, residential, mixed-use, hospitality, and institutional projects. I have contributed to award-winning work that has been published nationally and internationally.
